Inspiration

Bishop Eddy Long, was the speaker for NCCU's graduating class of 2004. I was fortunate enough to watch his speech in my media and society class this morning. It was an inspiring speech that fulfilled his purpose to bless, inspire, and encourage the graduates. I'm not yet a graduate but I too was touched by his speech. He emphasized that no matter what we must all continue to "run", in the sence of waking up and striving for your destiney each and every day. He suggested that as you run, to also dream big. Time is one thing that will never wait on you, realizing and respecting that fact will help you in the long run. We must take time to run, strive, and achieve the things that will assist us in our search for our destiney.
Becoming a positive voice and having a vision was the theme of Mr. Long's speech. Being a NCCU alum himself, he was positive that his fellow eagles could achieve and concure any and all obstacles. He reiterated that nothing was impossible. No matter what people say can't be done, if there is something in you that says it can be done then you should continue to strive for what it is you believe in. Working in mysterious ways is something God has always been known for, and trusting in him will lead to bigger and better things then you ever thought imaginable.
Continue to push forward, and strive for nothing but the best is the main tip I took from this speech. I hope those that were graduating were able to take someting positive and encouraging away from the speakers words as well.
